At the VOICE CARE CENTRE, we can better facilitate the maintenance and healing of our international clientele / patients, with ONLINE therapeutic interventions. These sessions take place over Zoom, and are delivered on UK time.
At the beginning of 2020, as the Coronavirus Pandemic reached its peak, many healthcare professionals were forced to move their practice ONLINE. Moving past the tragic and reflective period in time that was COVID – 19, the VOICE CARE CENTRE has transitioned to effective interventions via Zoom. These sessions operate differently to the IN – PERSON sessions, because of the lack of physical interaction. This means that some appointments may be shorter, and some may be longer than their IN – PERSON counterparts.
What do I need to be able to do these sessions at home?
Good WiFi or 4/5G connection
Have the Zoom client installed and setup on your device. It can be downloaded here
Minimal background noise
Sanitised and washed hands
- Space for the session to be recorded to you Mac, PC or Cloud
Have first attended the INITIAL ASSESSMENT, either AT HOME or IN PERSON.
You do not necessarily need external hardware such as Mic’s and Speakers, but do ensure that your tech enables you to be heard, and to hear.
For the Speech Therapy appointments, you may need a straw and a glass of water.
The sessions AT HOME or IN PERSON are bound to the same terms and conditions, with the exception that the internet is more temperamental than physical intervention at the CENTRE. If your connection should be unworkable with, or cut out completely, the remainder of your session remains the same length of time. It is your responsibility to find an alternative means of connection. If the practitioner working for the VOICE CARE CENTRE’s WiFi gives out, you will be granted the extra time once connection is reestablished.
You will be emailed your Zoom link on the day of your appointment. This will always arrive in your email inbox of the address you booked in with us. Please check your junk and other folders, as it is not the fault of VOICE CARE CENTRE if you are late.
We look forward to seeing you across the kitchen table!
