What will you learn?
This workshop will help you understand the contributing factors that may influence your or your client’s experiences of performance anxiety. You will gain greater insight into performance anxiety, which will enable you to provide better support to the singers in your care or studio, regardless of your scope of practice.
Price: £145.00
This workshop is for performers, teachers, and clinicians. It will be held by Mel Toy and Stephen King, who is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Performance anxiety may not occur in isolation, but there are few occurrences more isolating than an experience of performance anxiety.

From the researchers desk to the therapists office; join Stephen King and Mel Toy for a day of exploration around performance anxiety. Within this workshop, we will be going beyond what we “know” about this devastating inhibitory state and begin to explore the contributing factors which may influence you or your clients experiences of music performance anxiety.

This day goes beyond traditional understandings of performance anxiety by presenting modern evidence-based research of often under-explored considerations, to provide a deeper understanding of the condition.

There will be creative interactions and interventions led by Stephen, as well as theoretical orientations led by Mel.

This is a one of opportunity not to be missed, and all situated in Freud’s former London home.
